Watauga County has been my home for more than 40 years, and I’ve lived in the newly created District One since 1993. I moved to Boone in 1984 to begin my career as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and it has been my honor to serve this community both at work and in everyday life. Boone isn’t just where I live - it’s home.​

Watauga County has grown and changed since 1984, but our values of hard work, faith, and unity remain strong. I believe our best days are ahead. With thoughtful leadership, we can build an even brighter future for the next generation.

I am proud to have served our country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era and to have spent more than 50 years caring for others in healthcare. These experiences taught me the importance of integrity, responsibility, and always putting people first.​
